About the Center

Who we are

The Inter-Korean Exchange & Cooperation Center is a non-governmental organization that helps companies and organizations preparing for exchange and cooperation. For those hesitating at the first step because the procedures are unfamiliar, we work through which notifications and approvals apply and review the documents that need to be prepared. Filing and review are carried out by the competent government body; the Center helps you prepare for that stage.

What we do

Advance review of procedures

We listen to how your project is set up and identify together which notifications and approvals it requires.

Fund and grant guidance

We go through the requirements of the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund and government calls for proposals, and help you decide how to prepare.

Training and briefings

We hold quarterly briefings on procedures and funding, and publish the accompanying materials.

Talent networking

We maintain a network of professionals in Korea and abroad who can contribute to inter-Korean exchange and cooperation, and connect them with projects in preparation — a contribution to peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Park Sae-am

A former broadcast journalist specialising in North Korea, and a PhD in North Korean Studies. She has reported on inter-Korean relations from the field and researched unification and exchange policy in universities and advisory bodies.

Thank you for visiting the Inter-Korean Exchange & Cooperation Center.

When I was covering inter-Korean relations as a reporter, I repeatedly met people who had good intentions and solid plans but stopped at the first step. They were unsure which notification was needed, where approval came from, and what the fund actually supported. Procedures exist to protect a project, not to block it, and it always struck me as a shame that the threshold felt higher than it needed to be.

The Center stands with you at that threshold. Filing and review belong to government bodies, but what has to be prepared beforehand is something we can work through together. We will help you look ahead at the procedures, check the requirements of the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund, and assemble your documents one by one.

Inter-Korean exchange and cooperation begins with one person's preparation. Whether you are a company or an organization, based in Korea or overseas, if you have something in preparation, please feel free to request a consultation.
